Road to Classroom Teacher
If you have a passion for education and hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, you can join our "Road to Classroom Teacher" program to begin your new career and become a certified teacher while teaching at Lancaster ISD!
Classroom Facilitator
As a classroom facilitator, you will lead your assigned K-12 classroom (Assignments are based on your college/university degree and upon availability).
If you are not enrolled in an Alternative Certification Program, our recruitment team will share with you a list of programs for your consideration. You will be assigned a Mentor Teacher at your assigned campus to guide you and assist you in your new role. You will also be assigned a Power Up Ambassador (An expert retired teacher) to offer guidance on instructional strategies, lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and other effective teaching practices.
Once a month, you will attend the Mentorship Program, which is a workshop designed to provide you with tools and resources to enhance your teaching skills.
Once the criteria for a classroom instructor has been completed, your designation and compensation will change to your new designation as a classroom instructor. Email careers@lancasterisd.org if you would like to know more!
