April 15, 2024, Lancaster ISD/ Lancaster, TX--Lancaster ISD hosted the Special Olympics Track and Field meet, featuring teams from Terrell ISD, Midlothian ISD, Red Oak ISD, Waxahachie ISD, Cedar Hill ISD, Highland Park ISD, Ennis ISD, and Ellis County.
The event kicked off with an opening ceremony, including a warm welcome from Superintendent Dr. Perera, followed by a parade of the participating teams. It was an inspiring day, filled with teamwork and sportsmanship. All students left the event as winners, showcasing their skills and the true spirit of the Special Olympics.
