May 14, 2024, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX--On Tuesday, May 14, the community celebrated the Lancaster High School Lady Tiger Track & Field team, which clinched the UIL 5A State Track and Field Championship on May 3. The hometown celebration featured congratulatory remarks from school board trustees President Marion Hamilton and board secretary Carolyn Morris. Additionally, Superintendent Dr. A.K. Perera, City of Lancaster Mayor Clyde C. Hairston, and Lancaster ISD Athletic Director Kendrick Brown also shared words of excitement to praise the team for their hard work and achievements.
The event honored the team's victory, the hard working coaching staff, and spotlighted Head Coach LaKeidra Hayes, who was named the Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A-6A Coach of the Year. Congratulations to our Lady Tigers for their hard-earned success and to Coach Hayes for her outstanding leadership.
