March 20, 2025, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX --The Lancaster ISD Silver Tigers spent a meaningful Senior Skip Day at Houston Elementary, engaging with students through storytelling, conversations, and a student-led press conference.
Organized by the Lancaster ISD Communications Team as part of the district’s ongoing community engagement efforts, the event provided Silver Tigers with the opportunity to meet the campus leadership team, tour the school, and interact with students. From reading in classrooms to answering questions from the Houston News Crew, the experience fostered connections across generations, leaving a lasting impact on young learners.

Through a partnership with the City of Lancaster Senior Life Center, Lancaster ISD launched the Silver Tiger Tour Series. These tours allow the members of the Senior Life Center’s Senior Senate Committee to skip a day of meeting at the life center and tour a Lancaster ISD campus. Members of the senate can read to students and gather information about volunteering on different campuses when needed.
