Before the close of the 2022 spring semester, Lancaster ISD announced new secondary principals for four of the district’s six secondary campuses. Of the four new principals, one previously served in the same role as interim, while another has transitioned from another campus. As the weeks of summer come to an end, Lancaster ISD is preparing for the upcoming school year and providing the opportunity for parents and students to meet the district’s newest secondary campus leaders.
Principal Noel Greenwood-Lancaster High School
Mr. Noel Greenwood joins Lancaster ISD with 15 years of experience in education. Before joining Lancaster ISD, he served as the founding principal of Ruby Young Personalized STEAM Academy in DeSoto ISD. He also served as the principal of STEAM Middle School in Burleson ISD and assistant principal of Jackson Technology Center for Math and Science in Garland ISD.

Principal Kirsten Jett-Lancaster Middle School
Kirsten Jett was named interim principal of Lancaster Middle School on December 1, 2021. Since taking the top campus leadership role, she has focused on building relationships with students and staff while determining strengths and growth opportunities for the campus. As Jett prepares for the upcoming school year, she does so with a wealth of valuable knowledge from the previous semester. She looks forward to enhancing the learning experience for all LMS students.

Principal Dr. Demeka Simmons-Barack and Michelle Obama 9th Grade Campus
Lancaster ISD is pleased to announce Dr. Demeka Simmons as the new principal of Barack and Michelle Obama 9th Grade Campus (BAMO). Simmons will take the helm at BAMO as Nakesha Reddick transitions to the district’s sixth-grade campus this coming school year. Dr. Simmons has held administrative positions in education over the past seven years. Before joining Lancaster ISD, Simmons served as a principal in Manor Independent School District.

George Washington Carver 6th Grade STEM Learning Center
Nakesha Reddick is a familiar campus leader in Lancaster ISD. Having served as principal of the former Lancaster Eleme
ntary and most recently as the BAMO principal, Reddick brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the GWC campus. Her principalship background in elementary and secondary is the perfect match for the incoming sixth-grade students who will start their transition into secondary school this year.
