July 30, 2024, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX - -There was no better way to kick off a great school year than by welcoming Lancaster ISD’s newest employees to the Tiger family. The Lancaster ISD New Employee Orientation started this week and included the annual new employee draft which officially inducts new team members into the Lancaster Tiger League.
The New Employee Draft is an event that symbolizes new district employees joining the prestigious educational organization. To be drafted into the Tiger League means you are committed to excellence in education and are a top-tier educator.
During the draft, new employees were welcomed on stage by their campus and department leaders in true draft fashion. They also had their photo taken with our league commissioner, Dr. A.K. Perera, Lancaster ISD’s Superintendent of Schools. Lastly, each new employee left with a Tiger swag box that solidified their entry into the Tiger Family.
Eric Age is a Lancaster ISD alumni joining the Tiger family as a seventh-grade social studies teacher who shared his excitement about joining the district.
“Coming into it, I was a little nervous so I didn't know what to expect, but once we got started and I got to meet my new coworkers I felt more at ease and excited for this upcoming school year. I am mainly excited to start my career at my alma mater,” said Age.
