October 16, 2024, Lancaster ISD/Lancaster, TX --Lancaster ISD is excited to share the following leadership transitions. These changes reflect our ongoing commitment to excellence and strategic development across the district.
We are happy to announce Dr. LaBotta Taylor’s new role as the Chief Strategy Officer overseeing college partnerships. Dr. Taylor has been with Lancaster ISD for four years as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Her experience as an early college principal and her work in human resources make her the perfect fit to lead this new effort. Her expertise will support Dr. Perera’s vision of creating sustainable partnerships with HBCUs that will directly benefit Lancaster ISD students.
In addition, Dr. Dameon Gray will now lead our Human Resources Department as the Executive Director of Human Resources. He will continue the important work of hiring and retaining qualified employees for the district, helping us address challenges like the national teacher shortage. Gray’s leadership will ensure Lancaster ISD continues to have a strong and supportive team.
These changes are part of our ongoing work to provide every student in Lancaster ISD the best educational experience possible while continuing to Dream, Believe, and Roar.
