Lancaster ISD ensured the holiday season was extra special for its youngest students through the annual #TigerToyDrive. Every Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten student across the district received a special toy, thanks to the generosity of community donors and partners.
December 19, 2024 Lancaster ISD/Lancaster,TX --This year’s toy drive was a success through the support of organizations like Toys for Tots DFW, Thomas “DJ Swerve” Hervey, the Southwest Dallas County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and BBM Experience The Glory. Lancaster ISD community members also played a vital role by purchasing gifts through the district’s Amazon Toy Drive link.
The Lancaster High School Student Council, under the guidance of advisor Ms. Shon Stinson, contributed to the effort by wrapping each toy that was delivered. Additionally, students from Lancaster STEM Early College High School joined Superintendent Dr. Perera and the administration team to deliver the gifts to elementary campuses.
“This incredible act of kindness demonstrates the power of community,” said Dr. Perera. “The joy on our students’ faces is a reminder of what we can achieve when we come together.”
The Tiger Toy Drive continues to showcase the district’s commitment to creating meaningful moments for students while highlighting the importance of community involvement.
