March 9, 2023
Lancaster ISD, Cedar Hill ISD, and DeSoto ISD are joining forces to host an engaging and informative teen and parent summit called Generation Z: We Are Here to be Seen and Heard! Teen & Parent Summit. We’re excited to have 97.9 the Beat on-air personality Jazzi Black join our Generation Z Summit!
The event will be on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Please click here to RSVP.
The summit aims to provide students a forum to organize, network, learn new things, and publicly share their hopes and concerns with their peers. It will cover various topics, including conflict resolution, cyberbullying, mental health and wellness, suicide prevention, career exploration, and healthy relationships.
Parents will also receive vital information and resources for homeless shelters, food banks, mental health resources, daycare, after-school programs, and more.
We encourage all 6th-12th grade students and their families to attend the summit. There will be invaluable information and additional resources for everyone.
The Summit will offer:
Teen Panel Discussion featuring Students from the Best Southwest
Engaging Breakout Sessions (Parents & Students)
Student and Parent Resources
Peer-to-Peer Networking
Prizes and Giveaways
